A note from Principal, Sarah Kahler

We are so pleased to have the opportunity to introduce you to our academy and all the great things we offer the children who come here.

Our academy has a wonderful family-feel and there is always plenty happening, making it a vibrant and inspiring environment to learn in.

‘Leaders are ambitious for pupils. They want every pupil to do as well as they can and to leave the school well prepared for the next stage in their education. Pupils are aspirational for their futures.’

(Ofsted, January 2022)

We provide great opportunities for all children to develop, achieve and enjoy their education through the provision of a wide, balanced and thought-provoking curriculum. We encourage all of our children to strive to be the very best they can be, and our dedicated team create a stimulating learning environment to support this.

Celebrating diversity, recognising differences, and supporting children to understand their place in the world, are key themes embraced at the academy. Everything we do is underpinned by our core values – we empower, we respect, we care. This is supported by our ‘Samuel Barlow Standards’ that we also work to, that guide children as learners and support them in becoming respectful and caring individuals.

It is really important to us that we form positive relationships with all our families, empowering them to feel part of their child’s learning journey and development. We regularly communicate success stories and provide opportunities to see the work we are doing on a regular basis and we welcome feedback and questions about what is happening in our academy.

We thank you for your interest in our academy, and encourage you to arrange a visit to find out more. We look forward to meeting you.

Mrs Sarah Kahler, Principal
