At Samuel Barlow Primary Academy we recognise that children learn effectively when they are secure, happy and settled. Establishing a consistent and shared approach towards behaviour is essential to create an inclusive community with positive emphasis where each and every young person feels supported and encouraged.
To this end, we have agreed policies and procedures in place to ensure that great behaviour and achievement is celebrated and recognised. Where behaviour falls below our high standards, we work alongside pupils and families to establish any reasons why and work on ways to improve.
Our behaviour policy, which also governs how our staff work with children at the academy, can be found here.
If you have any concerns about behaviour at the academy, please speak to your child’s teacher in the first instance, or contact our designated safeguarding lead Sarah Kahler – skahler@samuelbarlowprimary-ac.org.uk
