Pupils in our year 5 class started an exciting technology project on Friday with Mr Jackson. They are all building a cam/follower mechanism which will eventually move a figure (designed by the children) up and down when complete.
The children have been building the frames for their mechanisms, and will be drilling holes and building the cam follower mechanism next. This week they will then hopefully finalise the follower shaft and add their figures before we see them all working.
All of the pupils taking part in this project have engaged with this very sensibly and practically showing some fabulous creativity. We can’t wait to see the finished mechanisms – keep your eyes peeled for the final reveal in the coming days!
