From Friday 14 February until Thursday 12 March 2020, we are asking families of Samuel Barlow Primary pupils for your opinions about our current uniform with a view to changing this in the future.

The reason for asking you is because you have already given us some feedback about wanting a change. We know some of you are worried about the costs of our current branded uniform, together with concerns over the colour of the jumpers and how well they can be maintained. We want to ensure that families have a greater choice of where to buy the uniform from and that it is affordable, together with being involved in choosing a colour of jumpers and cardigans that can be cared for more easily.

As part of the consultation we are also looking at introducing blazers for children in Years 5 and 6. Other primary academies within the Diverse Academies trust have adopted blazers for children of this age with a positive impact on behaviour and attitude to learning.

Please complete the questionnaire – it only takes a couple of minutes to complete and your feedback is very important to us. No changes will be made without appropriate consultation, and we will devise a plan for the timings of the introduction of any uniform changes based on your responses.

Take the survey by clicking here. (if you would like a paper copy to complete, please speak with our office team)

At Parents Evenings we will have some samples of the uniforms that we have been looking at so that you can explore the different options.

Thank you in advance for your support – if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at skahler@samuelbarlowprimary-ac.org.uk
