Community governor
Reason why became a governor.
I feel that within my current job role as a Teaching Assistant, I can bring my knowledge of the Curriculum and support the school and the children. I feel that I can uses these experiences to share good practice with Wainwright Academy and Samuel Barlow Primary Academy.
How did you find out about the role?
Through Sherwood Observatory, where I have been a member for the last 3 years.
What do you like about the role, your experience, how do governors make a difference?
I have worked within a school environment for the last 14 years as a Teaching Assistant. It is important to me, that I play a role in ensuring our school is a welcoming, caring and forward thinking place for our children to thrive and reach their full potential. I believe that each and every child should feel safe, heard and valued.
