One of the most pleasing things in our first half-term back at the academy has been to see our children proudly showing off their smart new uniform. The feedback from families and staff has been extremely positive – as you can see from the pictures, the pupils love it too!
Children in years 4 down to our foundation classes will now wear a navy jumper or cardigan, with the introduction of blazers and ties for our year 5 and 6 pupils.
The decision to change the colour of uniform and introduce blazers for year 5 and 6 pupils was made in consultation with our families – we considered feedback from you on uniform colour, availability to purchase non-branded versions, and ensuring the uniform stands up to the test of coping with primary school stains! To support our community and to ensure all children were able to obtain a jumper, cardigan or blazer, the academy funded the purchase of one item of uniform for every pupil on roll in July.
If you wish to purchase additional items, then our uniform supplier Price and Buckland deliver FREE into the academy on the second and fourth Monday each month. We are still expecting delivery of some items that the academy has purchased – however, please note that these have been delayed by supply issues linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. We will contact families when these have arrived.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for your support of this change. We hope that you’re as proud of your children in their uniform as all the staff are here!
