This morning our year 1 pupils learned all about healthy eating and how we can help to reduce waste in our local communities as they were visited by staff from Morrisons.

Vicky, Sue and Megan joined our children to talk about the healthy food options and where they come from – we were all amazed to find out that the bananas Morrisons sell come from Costa Rica and take three weeks to get to their stores on a ship! The children were all fascinated by their new facts.

Children were then given the opportunity to make their own healthy snacks out of the fruit that the ladies brought in. Every child made a delicious fruit kebab to take home – yummy!

Thank you so much to the staff from Morrisons for an interesting morning, and to the pupils for getting involved and trying new things.
