We are delighted to announce that Samuel Barlow Primary Academy have achieved the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2018/19 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government led award that rewards academies and schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
During the course of this year pupils have completed in a wide range of sporting activities including the daily mile leading into a Cancer Research run, participated in countless football matches and attended inter-school competitive events. Staff have delivered after-school clubs based on PE activities to each year group, and provided a wealth of opportunities for children to be active.
This award is testament to the hard work of our staff in supporting our pupils and giving them the chance to show off their sporting talents and learn new skills. Well done to all – keep up the amazing work!
